Cosworth – Quality Control and Launch Support
At the time of engagement our client was ramping up a new CNC Machining and Assembly site with new customers for their powertrain parts. The main objective was to support the launch of the new products to get customer approvals and enable ramp up to volume. The end customers of these products were high end automotive clients with strict Quality requirements and APQP Launch protocol to follow.

After the first 6 months the manufacturing quality started to stabilize and product quality improved significantly. End customer on-site residents were managed or withdrawn by the end customers as results improved further. Shortly after that the manufacturing site started to ramp up to peak capacity which enabled further adjustments and improvements in the line operation and was followed by further reductions in scrap and rework rates until the process was stabilized and handed over.
